Paul Andrews
Lead Pastor
Paul Andrews has been part of the Freedom Church family since 1994, serving first as a youth pastor before stepping into his role as Lead Pastor. His heart beats for people to encounter God’s presence and for the church to be a place where lives are truly changed. He provides vision, leads teams, and carries the privilege of preaching most Sundays, but if you ask him, the best part of ministry is always hearing stories of transformed lives. Paul and his wife, Laurie, have been married for 33 years and their family is a full house of love with two adult children (Alex and Zachary), two teenage sons (James and Daniel), and two children they are currently fostering. Add in two cats and a spunky Boston Terrier named Lulu, and life at the Andrews’ is never boring!
When he’s not shepherding the church, Paul enjoys working out, fishing, and cheering on football (Go Commanders!). He’s also known to track down a great cheeseburger with a chocolate milkshake or a pizza loaded with sausage and banana peppers. Fun fact: though he leads a big church family, Paul leans introverted at heart. If he could choose a superpower, he’d teleport straight to India, Uganda, or maybe just the lake. His favorite verse, Nehemiah 6:3, captures his steady commitment: “I am carrying on a great project and cannot go down.” It’s the passion behind everything he does - for his family, for Freedom Church, and for God’s Kingdom.

Laurie Andrews
Executive Pastor
Worship Pastor
From the very beginning of Freedom Church, Laurie Andrews has played a vital role in shaping its vision, direction, and heart. As Executive Pastor, she helps guide the church through yearly planning, daily operations, and ministry focus, but what fuels her most is helping people experience the goodness of God for themselves. Laurie is passionate about teaching believers their identity in Christ and showing them that God isn’t distant or demanding; He’s a good Father who loves us more than we can imagine. Laurie and her husband, Paul, have built a beautiful (and lively!) family together with their daughter, three sons, foster kiddos, and a trio of pets: Lulu the Boston Terrier and two cats, Artie and Mr. Suki. Life in the Andrews home is full of laughter, love, and plenty of stories, both the real kind and the movie kind, since Laurie has a knack for quoting films at just the right moment.
When she’s not leading at Freedom, Laurie loves to travel, read, cook, thrift, swim, or lose herself in a great story on screen or in a book. She also has a wide-ranging taste in music - anything from worship bands like Maverick City or Rend Collective to classics like U2, Motown, and even a little bluegrass. And if you ever take her out for coffee, make it a strong medium roast (or a flat white with raw sugar if she’s at Starbucks). Laurie’s heartbeat is simple: that every person would experience the daily, life-changing presence of the Holy Spirit and walk confidently in the truth that they are deeply loved by God. Her life verses, Philippians 4:13 and Romans 8, continue to remind her that through Christ, we can do all things.

Brad Reynolds
Associate Pastor
Music Director
Brad Reynolds, a Kansas native, hailing from Hill City (“not the end of the world, but you can see it from there,") has been part of Freedom Church since 1999, stepping in to serve with the youth before becoming Associate Pastor and Music Director. His role is all about support, making sure the pastors can focus on preaching and shepherding, whether that means leading worship practices, handling Sunday details, or even taking care of the little things behind the scenes. For Brad, ministry has always been about people, the friendships built and the countless lives changed over the years.
Brad and his wife, Connie, have built what he calls “the ultimate blended family,” a living testament to God’s goodness. Together they’ve raised four kids (all of whom became teachers!) and now enjoy life as empty nesters with their two dogs, plus the joy of ten grandchildren who keep family gatherings lively and full of love.
When he’s not at church, you’ll probably find Brad outdoors, arrowhead hunting, metal detecting, or riding bikes and motorcycles. He also enjoys playing guitar, going on long walks with Connie, and occasionally indulging his sweet tooth with mashed potatoes and no-bake cookies (his all-time favorites). Known for his quick wit, Brad jokes that he looks 5’6” but is actually a full 6 feet tall. His easygoing humor is matched by a deep passion for worship. His prayer is to see a sanctuary full of people fully surrendered in worship, experiencing a glimpse of heaven on earth. One of his life verses, 1 Corinthians 6:19, has guided him since his teens: “Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit… You are not your own?”

Jenna Whitehead
Young Adults Pastor
For 15 years, Jenna Whitehead has been part of the Freedom Church family, serving in a variety of roles before stepping into her current calling as Young Adults Pastor. Whether she’s leading Bible studies, planning gatherings, or just sharing life with post-high school and twenty-somethings, Jenna’s heart is to see a generation grow deep roots in Christ and be ready to “give the reason for the hope that you have” (1 Peter 3:15). Don't let the hot pink hair fool you, she isn’t all unicorns and rainbows. Jenna offers real accountability because she wants young adults to experience everything Jesus has for them and live lives that glorify Him.
Jenna and her husband, Willie, have been married for 16 years and are raising two daughters, Addyson and Preslie, who both serve and thrive in Freedom Youth. When she’s not pastoring or teaching first grade at Trinity Academy, Jenna can usually be found at the softball fields (coaching, cheering, or both), enjoying lake days with her family, or floating in the pool with a good book. A proud introvert with a love for iced coffee - or an Alani energy drink - Jenna recharges with quiet time, Netflix binges, and long moments with the Lord. Her prayer for every young adult is simple and powerful: that they would know Jesus deeply and set their affections fully on Him. Jenna’s life verse is Acts 4:13, a reminder that ordinary people who spend time with Jesus carry extraordinary courage.

Josh Jordan
Youth Pastor
Media Production Director
Josh serves as Freedom Church’s Youth Pastor and Media Production Director, though he likes to joke that he’s really just the “babysitter of teenagers and techies.” A part of the Freedom family since 2003, Josh’s journey has been full of twists and turns. After years of serving as a youth leader, he repeatedly told Pastor Paul he wasn’t interested in pastoral ministry…until May 2022, when a life-changing encounter with the Holy Spirit opened the door for him to step fully into ministry.
His favorite part of serving is seeing young people make their faith their own, moving beyond their parents’ example to follow Jesus with their own hearts. Josh loves discipling students, guiding them through life’s challenges, and equipping them to passionately pursue God. Josh’s crew includes his wife, Sylvia, his 15-year-old daughter Alyssa, 13-year-old son Bensen, and 3-year-old Tori. When he’s not at church, you might find him cooking, at the gym, riding bikes with Tori, cruising on electric wheels with students, or enjoying football with his wife. He has a soft spot for pineapple on pizza, loves spicy food, and once had waist-length curly red hair, something few would guess at first glance! If he had a superpower, it would be the ability to fly. His favorite life motto comes from A.W. Tozer: “As God is exalted to the right place in our lives, a thousand problems are solved all at once.” Josh’s prayer for the students he serves is simple but profound: that they would fall madly in love with Jesus and never stop running after Him.

Josh Humig
Missions Pastor
Josh Humig has been serving at Freedom Church since 2013, but his calling to missions started long before that. His first mission trip in 1992 set the course for a lifetime of following God’s mandate to seek and save the lost. As Missions Pastor, Josh challenges the church to step beyond the four walls and into the desperate needs of the world, empowering both “senders” and “goers” to take their faith into action. From coordinating short-term mission trips to inspiring others to embrace the adventure of global and domestic outreach, his heartbeat is simple: every believer can make a difference, and he is determined to help them see it.
Josh and his wife are celebrating 29 years of marriage and have raised seven amazing children, now joined by seven grandchildren. His family is a living example of God’s goodness, and he delights in spending time with them, whether it’s hunting, fishing, or just soaking in life’s adventures. Josh embraces life fully, believing every opportunity is a chance to experience God’s world and make an eternal impact. Known for his bold faith and contagious enthusiasm, Josh dreams of instilling in others a faith that can move mountains, a faith that believes Christ’s promises are alive and active today. His life is guided by Philippians 1:21 (“For me, to live is Christ and to die is gain”), John 10:10, and 1 Corinthians 11:1 - reminders to live abundantly, follow Christ, and invite others to do the same. Josh is a proud Kansan from El Dorado, but his gaze is always global. His prayer for every believer is that they would discover their unique purpose and step courageously into the calling God has placed on their lives.

Sarah Owen
Children's Ministry Director
Since joining Freedom Church staff in 2020, Sarah has poured her heart into leading the Children’s Ministry, guiding kids from birth through 6th grade to know and love Jesus. From Sunday services to special events, she oversees every detail of ministry for the youngest members of the church and delights in seeing them grow in faith. Her favorite moments? Hearing stories of kids sharing the gospel with their friends and watching their excitement for Jesus unfold. Sarah has a close-knit family who also attend Freedom Church and cherishes that sense of community both at home and at church.
When she’s not ministering to kids, you might find her indulging in contrast therapy at SweatHouz, enjoying a good book, sipping her favorite 7 Brew iced sugar-free Blondie coffee or Alani Pink Slush, and scrolling Instagram from the comfort of her bed. She’s also a self-proclaimed pasta and pizza enthusiast—pepperoni always wins. Her heart for kids is matched by her prayer: that each child would know just how loved they are by the Creator of the universe, build a strong foundation in faith, and grow to serve in their church and beyond. Sarah lives by Ephesians 6, taking up the full armor of God with the sword of the Spirit as her favorite weapon. Fun fact: Though she loves kids, she’s not an animal person - she admits even the thought of caring for a dog makes her hesitate! And if she could have a superpower? Time travel - so she could see the world change over the years, all while standing in one place. Born and raised in Kansas, she now calls Augusta home, where she continues to invest in the next generation of Jesus followers.

Yevonne Gorman
Office Administrator
As Freedom Church’s Office Administrator, Yevonne keeps the wheels turning, literally and spiritually! She manages everything from finances and records to helping staff and volunteers find “where all the things are.” She’s also known for her weekly encouragements to “do something good” and for rewarding those who do with a piece of candy. Serving others and keeping things running smoothly fits her perfectly, since (in her words) she has “a need to be needed.” Yevonne and her husband, Dan, have been part of the Freedom family since 2013. Married for 38 years, they’re the proud parents of 10 children (all with names starting with E) and grandparents to 10 equally amazing kids (thankfully with more variety in their initials!). Their family also includes seven cats, four chickens, and, if she gets her way, a turkey next year.
When she’s not in the office, you’ll likely find Yevonne performing with her local theater group, which raises money for Butler County charities, or leading 12 Baskets, a food ministry she’s run for nearly three decades to help families in need. She loves chai tea, pizza with white sauce, and a good Sonic water with sugar-free flavorings and strawberries. Though most people wouldn’t guess it, Yevonne is actually an introvert who finds comfort in quiet moments and intentional connection. Her prayer is that people would see the love of Jesus in her through her joy, patience, and warm hugs. Her favorite verse, Romans 1:16, reminds her to never be ashamed of the gospel, while James 1:2 helps her find joy in every trial. Whether balancing books, feeding families, or encouraging others to share kindness, Yevonne lives her faith out loud (even if she’s shy about it).

Staci Hogan
Hospitality Director
Staci Hogan leads Freedom Church’s Hospitality Team, overseeing both the Cleaning and Kitchen ministries. Since stepping into this role in February 2021, Staci has poured her heart into creating spaces where people feel welcome, cared for, and valued. Serving others isn’t just a role, it’s a source of joy for her, and her dedication ensures that every corner of the church reflects God’s love. Staci has been married to her husband for 22 years, and together they are raising twin sons, now 21. Their home is full of life with yardbirds (chickens), three cats, and a dog. When she’s not at church, Staci enjoys riding ATVs and motorcycles (as a passenger), camping, shooting guns, reading, or indulging in a good massage. She even enjoys the simple pleasure of hopping on the riding mower to tend her yard! But no matter what she's doing, you can bet her favorite essential oils aren’t far away.
A self-proclaimed coffee snob, she loves crafting her own drinks but will occasionally treat herself to a large double-shot espresso with oat milk from Scooters. Her favorite foods include homemade meals, Mexican, and good sushi.
Staci’s prayer for the people she serves is that they would experience the peace that only Jesus offers. Her guiding hope in life is to hear the words, “Good job, good and faithful servant” when she stands at the feet of Jesus. A Wichita native through and through, Staci continues to serve quietly but powerfully, creating spaces where God’s love is felt in every detail.

Jackie Ebert
Digital Ministry Director
As Digital Ministry Director, Jackie blends creativity with theology to help Freedom Church extend its reach beyond the walls of the building. She develops and implements online strategies across digital platforms so that people—whether they’re in the room or across the globe—can connect, grow, and encounter Jesus. Jackie and her family first visited Freedom Church during Christmas at the Theatre in December 2021, and unlike Lot’s wife, they’ve never looked back. After serving alongside Pastor Jenna on digital ministry team, the Lord called Jackie to step into leadership and continue building on that legacy. Her favorite part of ministry? Knowing that the fruit of her work has eternal, Kingdom impact.
Jackie has been married to her high school sweetheart, Andrew, for 17 years and together they’re raising three boys—Jack (13), Fisher (11), and Shepherd (5). When she’s not crafting digital content, you’ll probably find Jackie decorating her home, tending to her plants, hunting for antiques, reading a good book, or cheering on the Chiefs and Jayhawks. Her playlist vibes are as eclectic as her personality...think Andy Mineo, Arbour Season, and Zach Williams. She believes in the power of a good nap & that it doesn't get much better than a medium-rare steak & potatoes. If Jackie had one superpower, it would be to wiggle her nose like Samantha on Bewitched and instantly have a perfectly clean house. Jackie is passionate about teaching women how to study scripture & carries a deep prayer for the people she serves: that they would fall madly in love with Jesus. John 11:35 (“Jesus wept”) has carried her through many encounters with grief, while Ezekiel 37 empowers her with God’s promise to breathe life into what the enemy tried to destroy. Originally from Arkansas City, Kansas, Jackie’s story is one of faith, grit, strength, and the conviction that God can use even digital spaces to draw people to Him.
